September 12, 2006

After a decade, legendary SCORPIONS drummer/songwriter Herman Rarebell has returned to the touring scene. Rarebell, who recently reunited with the SCORPIONS at the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany, is currently completing a new album under the moniker HERMAN RAREBELL AND BAND. The album, which is titled "I'm Back", is sure to please Rarebell's longtime fans as it features a broad scope of catchy new rock songs, as well as a new version of the classic SCORPIONS hit "Rock You Like a Hurricane", a song that Rarebell co-wrote with fellow SCORPIONS members Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker. The album will see a 2007 release through a label which is yet to be determined.

Rarebell will tour the U.S., Europe, and Japan throughout 2007 with his new band which also features his wife, Claudia Raab (saxophone),James "Duke" Jackson (guitars, also in STRIKEFORCE),and lead vocalist Stefan Erz.

In addition to the new album and tour, Rarebell is also completing an autobiography which will see a release in 2007. Titled "My Life as a Scorpion", the book will shed light on Rarebell's life in the SCORPIONS, as well as feature photos from his personal collection.

To coincide with his return, Rarebell has signed a worldwide management agreement with Jeff Keller Management LLC (AMERICAN HEARTBREAK, OMEN). Of the signing and his return to the scene, Rarebell says, "It is my pleasure to be managed by Jeff Keller and his company. I can't wait to get back on the road and on tour and to 'Rock You Like a Hurricane' again!"
